Snipshow Privacy Policy

Snipshow is a photo-dare game for small groups, operated by Erica Davis. Questions or privacy requests: ericad4k@gmail.com.

What the app collects

• An anonymous Firebase Authentication account ID for your installation, plus the display name you choose. You do not have to enter an email or password to play.
• Room codes, group membership, submitted photos, dares, scores, judge verdicts and game activity. A room member who has the code can see the group's submitted photos and results.
• Reports (the reporter's and reported player's account IDs, room, reason and time), blocks, and local app preferences. Your camera or photo library is used when you choose to submit a photo; the app also caches photo copies on the device to display them.

The app uses this information to run multiplayer rounds, judge photos, show results and handle safety reports. It does not show ads, sell your data or use your photos for advertising.

AI judging and other providers

Submitted photos and the dare are sent from Google Firestore through a Cloudflare Worker to an AI judge. The Worker may use Groq, Cloudflare Workers AI, or OpenRouter as a fallback. Those services receive the images and player IDs needed to return scores and verdicts. Google Firebase provides authentication and game storage. Providers may process data outside your country and have their own retention periods; the 24-hour photo cleanup below applies to Snipshow's Firestore photo fields, not copies held by them.

Retention and controls

• You can remove your submitted photo from a result in the app. This removes the Firestore photo field and attempts to remove the current device's original and cached copy. It does not recall screenshots, shared result images, or copies already cached on another player's device.
• A scheduled cleanup removes submitted photo fields from completed or abandoned rounds starting 24 hours after they end. A delayed sweep or outage can postpone removal. Scores and verdicts remain. Game records, group records and reports are not subject to that 24-hour cleanup.
• You can report another player's photo and block a player in the results. Reporting hides the reported content for you and saves a report. A human review process is being built; a report does not automatically remove the photo for everyone. Blocking hides that player's content in your app.
• To request deletion of your account and associated data, write to ericad4k@gmail.com. We need to verify which anonymous account is yours before deleting it, and will tell you what we can verify and remove. Scores and verdicts in other players' shared rounds may remain without your name or account link. Data kept for safety or legal reasons, if any, will be explained with your request.

The web deletion request page is available; the in-app route and verified server deletion process are still being built. Until your request is verified and completed, do not assume removing the app deletes the anonymous account or game records.

Security and children

Snipshow uses Firebase Authentication, Firestore access rules and encrypted connections. Group rooms are private to members with access to the code, but the app is not end-to-end encrypted. It is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child is using it, contact us.
